10 Tips for Hanging Wallpaper in the Children's Room

10 Tips for Hanging Wallpaper in the Children's Room
  1. Choose the Right Children's Wallpaper
Go for wallpaper that matches the style of the children's room. Whether it's bright colors or subtle prints, make sure the wallpaper for the children's room matches the mood you want to create.

  2. Prepare the Wall
Make sure the wall is smooth and clean before you start wallpapering. This ensures a tight result and prevents the children's wallpaper from bulging.

  3. Make a Plan
Decide in advance where you want to start and how you want to place the nursery wallpaper. Always start in a corner and work from there from left to right. Our wallpaper comes in by size so is numbered. so you start at lane 1 and work from there.

  4. Use a level
Make sure your first strip hangs straight by using a level. This prevents lopsided strips and gives a professional result.

  5. Hanging Large Patterns
For children's wallpaper with large patterns, it is important to make sure the strips line up properly. Take the time to do this precisely so that the pattern continues seamlessly.

  6. Glue application
The children's wallpaper is made of 2 different materials. One has texture and the other is smooth. The wallpaper with texture must be glued to the wallpaper itself. With the smooth wallpaper, apply the glue to the wall first.

  7. Smooth bubbles
Use a soft brush or a wallpaper spatula to smooth out air bubbles as you apply the wallpaper. Start in the center of the strip and work toward the edges. Do this gently and do not press too hard, if you go too fast you may crease or tear the wallpaper.

  8. Cut Off Excess Wallpaper
Use a sharp knife to neatly cut off excess wallpaper along baseboards and corners. This creates a clean finish in the baby's room or nursery.

  9. Let the Wall Rest
Let the children's wallpaper dry thoroughly before putting back the furniture. This prevents damage and ensures that the wallpaper stays firmly in place.

  10. Finish it off with Fun Accents
Add fun decorations and matching accessories, such as our children's posters and pillows, to complete the nursery or baby room theme. The right wallpaper is the perfect foundation for a magical space for your child!
