About Us

Atelier Florentine was born during the corona pandemic while we were buried in a mountain of snow that was ravaging the Netherlands at the time. 

Owner Noor Wagtendonk (that's me) came up with this as a result of the large number of births in her inner circle for which she had to make so many birth announcements.

Time for my own collection! I've been painting and drawing all my life and have been trained in graphic design.

Something that started as a test quickly got out of hand and now there is a solid collection of birth announcements, unique hand-drawn/painted wallpaper, various prints and more. 

What I discovered especially in the “children and baby market” was that everything looked alike. Much of the same, few truly unique designs, and with a profession as an illustrator, I thought: This can be improved, but more importantly made more fun. I wanted to create a brand that was completely my own, separated from existing trends. Our designs can therefore not be seen anywhere else and are only available here.

Everything is made in the Netherlands.

What I want to express with Atelier Florentine is that the child comes first.
Of course taking into account certain adult wishes in an interior ;-)

I want your child to love his or her room by creating a thousand bedtime stories with my designs. A room you can be proud of and show to your friends. It should also be a room to retreat into, feel safe and play in.
So in terms of wallpaper, I actually gave space to my younger self. What would I have wanted on the walls in my room when I was little?

In short, Atelier Florentine was born out of the need for custom, unique designs and original gifts, paired with real personal service. I expect nothing but you to agree ;-)
